AtréYoga: Different series of asanas and especially designed with variations on flexibility, strength, balance, and breath. Suitable for all levels and students who are looking for deep stretch and assisted twists to get into the end range of motion.
Ashtanga Fundamentals: Suitable for students who want to begin their Ashtanga journey or want to strengthen their basics of the practice. Join in for a 60 minutes session.
Ashtanga Led: 90 minute class where students practice a set of fundamental asanas from standing, sitting and finishing sequence of the primary series. Beginners are advised to join the Fundamentals classes before joining the Led class.
Ashtanga Mysore Style (MS): In this class students are taught a sequence of postures through one-on-one instruction. The correct movements, breathing, and other aspects of the practice are learned gradually, in a step-by-step process. This method allows each student time to practice and memorize what they have learned before adding more.
Vinyasa Flow: Movement is aligned and linked with the breath so that you move with each inhale and exhale. In Vinyasa-style yoga there is a dynamic flow from posture to posture. These classes are also often referred to as Flow Yoga or Power Yoga and are derived from Ashtanga yoga.
Iyengar Yoga: Focus is on correct alignment of all parts of the body within each yoga pose and assisted by props. This precision builds strength and stamina, balance and flexibility. Suitable for beginners and advanced students.
Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga is a meditative style of practice that, by sustaining asanas for a longer period of time, uses stillness to soften the muscles and allow joints to regain their full range of motion. Depending on how advanced one is, postures are held between 1 and 5 minutes. During these moments, students are guided into exploring various sensations and states of mind, in an accepting way. Yin yoga complements the yang practice through a very specific approach of the body/mind relationship.

Similar to other types of exercise, Yoga can assist you in controlling your weight over a period of time when done with consistency. Loosing weight not only depends on the amount and intensity of exercise you do, but also on your diet and lifestyle. This means, you will have to tackle your weight-loss goal from different angles to achieve the desired outcome. We want to emphasise that Yoga is not a quick weight-loss solution, however, Yoga can be used as a tool to help you to control cravings by calming the mind, help you sleep better and to feel more energised to engage in more activities during your day.
We believe everyone should wear what makes them feel comfortable. We recommend clothing from light, soft and stretchable material to allow you to move freely. The colour choice is yours! The only rule is: Please don’t wear shoes or socks during your practice.
The teacher will invite you to chant the sound OM at the beginning and at the end of a class. Matching your voice with everyone is a wholesome way of opening and closing classes and “making the sound of the universe” that connects everyone. You are not joining a cult by participating in the OM with the other students in the class. Bottom line: it is completely your decision. If you prefer not to OM, then don’t!
You will meet Gwen, our AtréYoga teacher and qualified physiotherapist, who will sit together with you to discuss your health and fitness goals. She will recommend how many classes per week are suitable for you and will give you some tailored advice based on a brief physical evaluation. You will receive guidance throughout the class and you are encouraged to go at your own pace and to take breaks whenever necessary. After the class you will get some time to ask further questions and to talk about your Yoga experience with us. We are happy to listen and to offer further guidance!
